100lb Gloss Text.
A thicker weight of "text" or "book" weight paper commonly used for flyers, brochures and the insides of catalogs. "100-lb" refers to how much 500 printer sheets (25" x 38") of this paper weighs. A gloss coating allows this paper perform better on press for color and detail.

100lb Gloss Cover
A thicker grade of paper than "text" or "book" weight paper that is used most commonly for covers of catalogs or premium brochures and flyers. Usually requested when more durability or the "premium" look is required. "100-lb" refers to how much 500 printer sheets (20" x 26") of this paper weighs. A gloss coating allows this paper perform better on press for color and detail.

100-lb gloss cover is a heavier stock of paper than 100-lb gloss text. Despite the fact they both share the same "pound" rating, cover weight paper uses smaller printer sheets (20" x 26") than text stock paper (25" x 38") to measure it’s basis weight, thus, cover stock paper is thicker per square area.

100lb Book Paper
Bookweight paper is the same as 100 lb and 100#. 100 lb book weight paper is measured in weight. The “100 lb” refers to the weight of 500 printer sheets of this paper and is considered a medium “text weight.” Our bookweight paper has a high gloss coating which allows it to perform well on the press for color and detail; however, it is floppier than the cardstock and does not stand up well on its own.

80lb Paper
Cover weight starts at 80 lb. and goes higher. 80lb can be used for brochure, flyer printing.

70lb Paper
70-Lb. Classic Crest Super-Smooth White Stock is a quality paper stock that is less thick than 100-lb Text weight paper and is commonly used in stationery printing, like letterheads. Its super smooth surface and bright white color makes it ideal for printing color and detail on your stationery. This paper is also laser printer compatible.

AQ Coating
AQ Coating is short for "Aqueous Coating." This is a term for a post-production process where a clear coating, in a water base and applied like ink by a printing press, is applied to the entire surface and used to protect and enhance the printing underneath. It provides a light luster to the printed product, speeds up dry times, minimizes finger prints, and adds more scuff protection. Since aqueous coating makes it problematic for postage and inkjet printing to be applied, it is not applied to mailing sides of postcards.

UV Coating
UV Coating is short for "Ultra-violet Coating." This is a term for a post-production process where a clear coating, a liquid applied to a printed sheet, is bonded and cured with ultraviolet light. This form of coating is thicker than normal varnishes and provides an attractive, high gloss appearance to the printing.

Regulary Our Business Cards, Postcards, Rackcards, Press Kit, Bookmarks, Tent Cards and Collector Cards are printed on 14-point glossy card stock with UV coating (lamination) on the color side(s). We also offer 14- point Premium Uncoated paper stock for our business cards and our 4 x 6 and 5.5 x 8.5 postcards. All other products are printed on 100 lb gloss book stock, with overall aqueous coating on both sides.

DeluxaPrinting.com goes the extra mile to offer paper products that are recycled from certified sustainable production systems.
Recycled paper products contain recovered fibers, which include pre or post consumer sources, or both. As a result, there are significant environmental advantages of producing recycled paper over non-recycled paper. The advantages create an eco-friendly footprint which consists of a reduced impact on forest resources, reduced air and water pollution, reduced water and energy consumption, and the reduction of solid waste.

DeluxaPrinting.com also incorporates the use of eco-friendly inks and solvents based on soy in our production which emit very low traces of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs are the fumes emitted into the air from inks, solvents and cleaners as they are used or while they dry. Our VOC levels are one of the lowest in the world and much lower than the required amounts set by the AQMD. In comparison, petroleum based inks release a much greater amount of VOCs than soy inks. Soy inks are also extremely beneficial during the paper recycling process since removing soy ink stains from paper is much easier than other artificial inks. Soy inks are easily washable and cause less damage to the paper fibers. As a result, the recycled paper is much brighter and fit for reuse. Furthermore, the waste produced by soy inks does not pose any threat to the environment and can be easily treated using modern methods.

In our continued commitment to the environment, DeluxaPrinting.comtakes every opportunity to offer customers environmentally conscious and friendly solutions by expanding our recycled paper selection while still retaining a high degree of quality.
The future of our environment depends on the choices we make today. We are thrilled to be able to provide you the choice to use recycled papers and other green products. We encourage you to take advantage of these eco-conscious choices. Together we can make a difference.
